Guidelines for writing an Abstract: The final abstract is basically an overview of the experiment. It starts with a brief description of what was planned (a sentence or two or three), then it describes briefly what was done (can vary in length from a couple of sentences to a couple of paragraphs), and ends with a brief summary of the conclusions and findings (a sentence or two or three). The total length of an abstract can vary from a quarter page to three-quarters of a page. Maximum total 250 words. Somebody reading the abstract should be able to get a quick picture of what was planned, done, and found. Once they have read the abstract, they can decide whether they want to review the entire experiment to get all the details.
