| New Hampshire Science and Engineering Exposition (NHSEE) |
EXPECTATIONS NHSEE Judges evaluating the middle school event do not need to have prior experience in a STEM field. Judges should ask simple questions to gain students' understanding of their project, using the criteria in the rubric as a roadmap. Students at this grade level are just starting to be introduced to scientific/engineering concepts, and have not taken high school level coursework in the behavioral/social sciences, hard sciences or engineering. In addition to evaluating projects, judges also serve as informal mentors, providing useful feedback, advice, and encouragement to all students. If you have questions, please email contactus@nhsee.org. |
RUBRICS Please familiarize yourself with the rubrics below. If you are seeking to judge any Challenge Projects, please read the instructions. Judge "Tips and Tricks" are provided for general advice. |
