PASTA BRIDGE STRUCTURAL SUGGESTIONS

If you are not sure how to structure the bridge components, there are some suggestions below to help you get started.  There is no guarantee that one structure will be stronger than any other.  Determining the best structure is a trial and error process and depends on how much pasta is used, how much glue is used, and how the components are put together.  Also, a heavier bridge might hold more weight, but be less efficient and get a lower score than a lighter bridge.

In each of the following diagrams, the lines represent possible directional layouts for pieces of pasta.  The number of lines does NOT correspond to the number of pieces of pasta.  The exact number and layout of pieces is entirely up to the builder.
